004 - 08.07.2020 - This track is part of the "MSC ZOE - 01.01.19" A/V live set created with Philippe Leonard (visuals) as part of our virtual residency at Centre Daïmon. We'd use donations for this track to fund a way to perform it outdoors by the end of the summer - update: live performance done on 11.09.2020 at BaNQ Rosemont, Montreal.
The performance was based on images and sounds from the maritime disaster of the MSC ZOE ship, gleaned from the internet. The ship, following a storm on January 1, 2019, dumped more than 300 containers of goods into the North Sea. This reflection on the globalization of overconsumption and hyper-mobility of goods and individuals is even more current in these times of crisis:

005 - 02.10.2020 - This live performance was recorded for Consouling 24h Deep Listening event happening on 02-03.10.2020 in Ghent, Belgium. After being invited to contribute for this year's hybrid edition due to COVID-10 restrictions, thisquietarmy travelled to Frontenac National Park in Ontario, Canada and scouted several locations in the woods by Otter Lake to film an exclusive, improvised performance for the festival's online content. The video is accessible through QR code stickers that are placed throughout the city (included with the download).
