arbitify This album is a blast. Deep, deep drone, offset by percussion, sometimes skittering lightly on the surface and sometimes intense and frenzied. It's a great combination. Favorite track: On a marché sur le soleil.

Steppe is an unlikely free jazz drone collaboration between Canadian guitarist Eric Quach (thisquietarmy) and Belgian drummer Tom Malmendier, fueled by nomadic multi-continental travel stories through cold windy landscapes and warm improbable meetings through the interconnected underground arts scene. Both musicians met at Beauté Soniques festival in Namur (Belgium) for a Hypnodrone Ensemble gig in the fall of 2016.
